1. Overview

The section provides users with comprehensive guidance and support on navigating and utilizing the Infoveave Datasource creation features effectively. 

2. Layout

In the Infoveave Datasource configuration, we provide a structured layout to guide you through the process seamlessly. This layout consists of three main sections, each contributing to an efficient Datasource setup.

1. Table Panel:

    • Search and Find: The Table Panel offers a search option to swiftly locate the desired DataSource and tables by typing relevant keywords or names. This is especially beneficial when dealing with multiple Datasource.
    • Drag-and-Drop: Utilize the drag-and-drop functionality in the Table Panel to effortlessly add tables to your configuration. Simply click and drag the required tables onto your workspace for quick inclusion.

2. Datasource Designer:

    • Mini Map Overview: The Datasource Designer presents a handy mini map that provides an easy navigation overview of your Datasource’s structure. This helps you grasp the layout and relationships within your data, aiding in efficient design. 
    • Tailored Data Elements: Within the Datasource Designer, you have the ability to add Measures, Dimensions, and Calculated Columns. These elements are essential for refining your datasource to suit your analytical needs.
    • Data Preview and Management: Preview a sample of your data before finalizing the configuration. You can also download a template for structuring your data and manage the data table template, ensuring data accuracy.

3. Measures and Dimensions:

    • Enhanced Customization: In this section, you can edit your Measures and Dimensions based on your analysis requirements. Add calculated Measures and Dimensions for more in-depth insights.
    • Relationships and Formulas: Establish relationships between Dimensions, introduce calculated Measures, and use formulas to derive complex insights from your data.

3. Cube Designer

The cube designer/ data table allows you to manage export template, add calculated columns, view data table and download template.

  1. To preview the data table, click on the View option on the top of the data table.
    • Until you upload the complete dataset, the view option shows as No Data.
  2. To add Calculated Columns, click on the Add Calculated Column option on the top of the data table.
  3. Click on the download button to downlaod the data template file.
  4. To manage the data template and to set the data ingestion method click on Manage Templates on the top of the data table.
    • You can define/update the data ingestion type as Incremental, Truncate and Reload, or Update.
    • When selecting the Update option, you must also define the Key column.
    • You can also choose to ignore any column as required.
    • To add a new column to your dataset, click on the Add Column button.
      • It will add a new column to the bottom of your dataset, where you can also define the data type.
    • Click on Update to save the template configuration.
