Version 8.3.0 Release Notes (December 2023)

Version 8.3.0, released in December 2023, covers the major changes introduced to Infoveave including key enhancements, new features, and bug fixes.

New Features

Widgets Early Access

  • World Map (Locations): Allows you to point out locations on a world map when your dataset has latitude and longitude values. Supports heatmap and cluster visualizations.
  • Report List: Adds reports to your Infoboard as a list view.
  • Box Plot: Shows the distribution of measures by Lower, First Quartile, Median, Third Quartile, and Upper against dimensional splits.
  • Candle Stick: Tracks stock price movements over time.
  • Bi-variate scatter plot: Displays the relationship between variables on Cartesian coordinates.

Enhancements

  • Calculated Columns Early Access : Raw and query sources now allow you to add calculated columns to your dataset.
  • Workflow Monitoring: Springboard and workflow Execution Status now provide detailed insights. The activity editor now supports both timestamps and date pickers.
  • Widgets: Widgets created from Datasource, query, and raw data now include support for Top N and Bottom N options under filters on the selected measure. Pivot table charts now support both Row and Column views in the title.
  • Springboard Early Access : Allows you to add a Notification widget for personalization. Board Expressions can now be applied to individual views (Desktop, Mobile, and Print).
  • Organizational Tag: A new organizational tag feature in the Control Center helps categorize and manage assets.
  • Query Simplification: Creating measures and dimensions is no longer required for writing queries over the Datasource. You can now call any columns from the dataset without defining them as measures or dimensions.
  • Checkbox Enhancement: Checkbox functionality now supports single-select options.
  • Query Restrictions: When downloading data reports, date and dimension filters are now mandatory in your query.
  • Workflow Scheduling: A new “Custom” scheduling option (supporting cron syntax) has been added to the workflows module. Learn more.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved the issue with conditional filters under widget dimension filters. Query and raw sources now correctly handle ‘not’, ‘in’, and ‘not in’ filters.
  • Fixed the issue with the date range filter on V6 Infoboards causing screen breaks.
  • Fixed a navigation issue on edit activity in Infoveave workflow.
  • Fixed an issue where the activity name wasn’t reflecting properly in related Infoveave workflow instances.
  • Resolved the autosave issue on adding columns with duplicate names in manage templates under Datasources.
  • Pivot table now supports expanded row and column views.
