Infoveave classifies the task related to data handling under data tasks. With the wide range of data tasks offered by Infoveave, you can manage and handle the data with ease.

How to set a data task

  1. To create any data task select Task from Automation Tasks .
  2. Click New to setup a new task.  
  1. Pick the data task you like to instate, from the drop-down list and click OK.

How to build the different data tasks is covered in the section below.

You may configure the task setting either as a plain text or in JSON format.

SSIS ETL Task

SSIS is a platform for data integration and workflow applications. It features a data warehousing tool used for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). The tool may also be used to automate the maintenance of SQL Server databases and updates to multidimensional cube data.

  1. Select ask name, server name.
  2. Select authentication as window authentication or SQL server authentication from drop-drop list.
    • For SQL Server Authentication, select database, user name & password.
    • For Windows Authentication, select database only.
  1. Click Get Packages to extract all packages which are available in the related database. After that, select package from the drop-down list.
    • Click  to add parameters if package contains any parameters.

  1. Click Save to save SSIS ETL task. It will display all other types of existing tasks.

Query Execution Task

Query execution task help you to run the queries for any date range at a scheduled time interval. 

  1. To access the query execution task select Query Execution from the drop-down list. 
  2. Configure the task by selecting the query, date dimension, date range, apply any necessary filters and choose the file. 
  3. Click Save to add the configuration settings. 

To execute a query task you must have a saved query in the Query tab under Studio.

Barcode Read Task

The task is to automate the process of barcode reading. 

  1. To access the bar code read task select Bar Code Read from the drop-down list. 
  2. Name the task and select the barcode type from the drop-down list.
  3. Click Save to add the configuration settings. 

Data Transform Task

The data transform task helps you to transform a data requested from the salesforce to Infoveave by matching the key columns. 

  1. To initiate a data transform task, pick Data Transform from the drop -down menu.
  2. Define the column map for the data transform.
  3. Click Save to add the task to Infoveave.

Excel Merge Task

Excel merge task help you to merge the different excel files generated in your local folder for each tasks linked to create a job.

  1. Select Merge excel from the drop down list and set a name for the task.
  2. Define the input file pattern in the specified format.
  3. Infoveave collects all the associated excel files and merge them to be a single file. 
  4. Click Save to add the task to Infoveave.

Update Datasource

Infoveave helps you to automate the task of datasource updating. You can create a task to update any particular datasource in Infoveave, by defining the datasource, the key columns, table and the column map. 

  1. To initiate a datasource update task, pick Datasource Update from the drop -down menu.
  2. Define the datasource, the key columns, table and the column map.
  3. Click Save to add the task to Infoveave.

Always define the column maps to update the datasource with the data from Salesforce.
