Overview
Manage Infoveave “Jobs”, with the flexibility and control to streamline your data processing and automation tasks. The comprehensive set of features empowers you to execute jobs, view run history, edit configurations, move to production, move to draft, share with others, move to folders, add descriptions, and delete jobs.
- Depending on your role-based access permissions, you may see an All Jobs option in addition to My Jobs & Shared Jobs. This feature allows you to view all the jobs in Infoveave that are accessible based on your specific role within the organization.
Execute Job
- Locate the job you want to execute in the Infoveave interface.
- Click on the “Execute” button associated with the job.
- This will initiate the execution of the job. You will receive a notification confirming the start of the job execution.
- Monitor the job execution progress, and upon completion, you will receive another notification indicating the job’s execution status.
Run History
- Locate the job for which you want to see the run history in the Infoveave Jobs.
- Click on the “Run History” icon associated with the identified job. This action will take you to the Job History page.
- On the Job History page, you will find a tabular display with various details related to the job’s execution. These details include:
- Job Instance ID: A unique identifier for each job instance.
- Started On: The date and time when the job execution was initiated.
- Failure Reason: If the job encountered any failure, this column will provide the reason for the failure.
- Failed at Step: Indicates the specific step or task where the failure occurred, if applicable.
- Task Name (Failed): The name of the task that failed during execution, if any.
- Task Type: The type of task performed during the job execution.
- Execution Time: The duration of time taken for the job to complete its execution.
- Created By: The user or account responsible for creating and initiating the job.
- Delete Action: Provides an option to delete the specific job instance from the history.
- From the Job History page, you can edit the job flow in the Job Designer with the Edit icon .

- This allows you to modify the sequence and configuration of tasks within the job.
- Filter: You can apply filters to individual columns to quickly find specific information in the table.
- Pin to Column: You can pin a column to keep it fixed on the screen while scrolling, ensuring that important data remains visible.
- Autosize This Column: This option allows you to automatically adjust the column width to fit its content.
- Autosize All Columns: You can automatically adjust the width of all columns in the table to optimize the view.
- Reset Column: If you have made any adjustments to a column, you can reset it to its default settings.

- Additionally, you can execute the same job again from the Job History page.
- Executing the job will take you to the Instance History page, where you can monitor the real-time progress and details of the job execution.
- Click on each task to see the details.

Edit Job
To edit a job in Infoveave, follow these steps:
- Find the job you want to edit in the Job Manager.
- Click on the Edit icon , associated with the job.
- Update the job’s tasks, settings, and scheduled time as needed.
- Drag and drop tasks to add or rearrange them, and link them to define the job’s flow.
- Modify the job name, description, and other settings in the Job Setup Panel.
- If necessary, reschedule the job by clicking on the Schedule icon.
- Remember to have a name, description, and at least one task to save the changes. Click Save to apply the updates.
- Inorder to edit any job, the job must be in Draft Mode.
- If the job is in Production, you can only View the job.
Move to Production
To move a job to production in Infoveave follow the below steps:
Locate the job you want to move in the Job Manager.
Click on the “Move to Production” icon associated with the job.
A confirmation dialog will appear, showing the job name and the list of linked jobs.
Type the job name in the associated text field to confirm the move.
Click “Move” to proceed with the move, and the job, along with any linked jobs, will move to production.
- Once you move the into production, the job displays the Production tag, that confirms the move.
- Additionally, you can click on the Info Icon across job name to access an overview and description of the job, along with its job flow.
- Download the job flow as an Excel file, containing details such as Task Id, Task Name, Task Type, and Content.

- You cannot Edit & Save a job, when in production mode.
- Ability to move jobs from draft to production mode is subject to role-based access control, depending on your user permissions.
Move to Draft
To move a job to production in Infoveave follow the below steps:
Locate the job you want to move in the Job Manager.
Click on the “Move to Draft” icon associated with the job.
A confirmation dialog will appear, showing the job name.
Type the job name in the associated text field to confirm the move.
Click “Move” to proceed with the move, and the job, along with any linked jobs, will move to Draft.
- Once moved to Draft mode you can edit or reschedule the Job.
- You cannot move a linked job from Production to Draft mode, unless the main job is moved to Draft
Share Jobs
Sharing options such as sharing with specific users or roles provide control and flexibility in sharing the jobs to the right audience, ensuring efficient utilization and leveraging of the feature.
You can share your Jobs with other users or roles in Infoveave. Follow these steps to share your Jobs:
Access the Share Option:
- Click on the share icon to share the Jobs with the team/role.
Choose Sharing Method:
- Select between the available options: Share with User or Share with Role.
Share with Users:
- If you choose Share with User, go to the “Share with Users”.
- From the share dialogue box, select the user(s) you want to share the Jobs with.
Share with Everyone (Optional):
- If you want to share the Jobs with all users, select the Share With Everyone option.
Share with Roles:
- If you choose Share with Role, switch to the “Share with Role”.
- Pick the roles you want to share the Jobs with from the share dialogue box.
Remove Users/Roles:
- To remove a specific user or role from the shared list, uncheck the corresponding checkbox.
Save the Sharing Settings:
- Click Save to share your Jobs with the selected users/roles.
- Shared individuals will receive a notification after the successful share.
- To stop sharing, simply unselect the users/roles.

- Share icon will be Blue in color when shared will all.
- Share icon will be Green in color when shared will a few.
Move to Folder
Organize your Jobs by easily moving them to designated folders.
To organize your Jobs under folders, follow these steps:
- Select the Job you want to move by clicking on the Move to Folder icon.
- Choose the desired folder from the dropdown menu.
- Click the “Save” button to finalize the move.
- Alternately, you can drag and drop a Job to any folder, to add it to that specific folder.
- You can also remove a Job from a folder by dragging it outside the folder.
Add Description
When creating a Job in Infoveave, you can add descriptions to provide more information. You can choose between, the Rich Text Editor or the Markdown Editor, to write and format your descriptions. This allows you to provide tags, short description, or contents about the purpose and usage of your Job.
To add a description to your Job, follow these steps:
- Select the desired Job.
- Click on the “Add Description” option.
- Choose the type of editor you prefer: Rich Text Editor or Markdown Editor.
- Fill in the necessary information in the provided fields:
- Tags: Add any relevant tags to categorize your Job.
- Description: Enter a description that provides a brief overview or explanation of the Job.
- Content: Include any additional details or notes related to the Job.
- Click “Save” to save the description.
- The Modal automatically converts text to Markdown language and vice versa, allowing more choice to the users.

- The Markdown Editor allows you to use simple text formatting syntax to format your description.
Delete Job
To delete a Job in Infoveave, follow these simple steps:
- Find the Job you want to delete.
- Click on the Delete icon .
- Type the specified text from the warning message in the provided text field.
- Alternatively, you can copy the text from the icon and paste it in the text field.
- Once you have entered the correct text, click on Delete.

- You cannot delete a job in Production. The jobs must be moved to Draft to delete.
- Please be cautious when deleting a Job, as it cannot be recovered once deleted.
