Note
- The "Roles" section under Administration will only be visible to users who have been granted access to it. This ensures that the management of roles and access privileges remains restricted to authorized individuals within your organization.
2. Create Roles
Steps to Create Roles
- To add a Roles in Infoveave, click on Administration Roles.
- All Roles created by you will be displayed under the tabs Roles.
- To create a new custom role, click on the New Role button.
- A custom role configuration page will appear, where you can customize role settings based on your requirements.
- Assign a Name to the new custom role.
- Use the Is External checkbox to designate the role as external if needed.
- If a role is defined as “Is External,” users with this role will not have access to the catalogues, public folders, and Job statistics on the Springboard.

Roles in Infoveave are available based on the type of version.
- SAAS Version
- Two types of roles are available these are Studio and Viewer.
- Enterprise Version
- The system administrator can create Custom roles based on the features required for the role.
- Start customizing Role access with the checkbox option:
- In the customization section, you’ll find various options such as Module, Insight, Report, What If, Machine Learning, Process Automation, Studio, Administration, Datasources.
- Check the boxes next to the sections that you want the custom role to have access to.
- By selecting these options, you’re defining the user’s level of access within these sections.
- After configuring all aspects of the custom role, click Save to save your settings.

- Infoboards: Customize access to Infoboards, including widgets and the query builder.
- Reports:
- Office Reports: Enable or disable access to office reports.
- Query Reports: Customize access to query-based reports.
- Address Books: Control access to address book resources.
- What If:
- What If Analysis: Determine access to the What If analysis feature.
- What If Formula: Specify access to What If formula functionalities.
- Machine Learning:
- ML Modeller: Enable or disable access to the ML Modeller tool.
- ML Analysis: Control access to Machine Learning analysis features.
- SciPyR: Customize access to SciPyR functionalities.

- Move to Production: (Specific for Jobs) Determine if the role can move jobs to the production environment.
- Move to Draft: (Specific for Jobs) Specify if the role can move jobs to the draft state.
- Catalogue: Choose whether the role has access to the catalogue feature.
3. Edit Roles
Edit Roles to ensure that they reflect and meets your evolving requirements.
To modify a Role in Infoveave, follow these steps:
- Find the specific Role that you want to edit.
- Click on the Edit icon associated with the Role.
- Click on the Save button to save your edit, after making the necessary modifications.
4. Delete Roles
To delete a Role in Infoveave, follow these simple steps:
- Find the Role you want to delete.
- Click on the Delete icon.
- Type the specified text from the warning message in the provided text field.
- Alternatively, you can copy the text from the icon and paste it in the text field.
- Once you have entered the correct text, click on Delete.

- Please be cautious when deleting a Role, as it cannot be recovered once deleted.
